Airline food on a short haul flight – is it any good for the gluten-free?

I’m off to Sydney again for a few days of work. All good fun no doubt, but I also have two short-haul flights to get through first. I’m flying Air New Zealand, and have ordered a gluten-free meal. I’ll be interested to see how it compares to the long-haul flights I did last October. I shall report back – here’s hoping for a more positive experience on the plane and in Sydney than I had last year!
